Information
Great Helmet (Haeume)
The Great Helmet is used by knights in most European armies around
1240 and until the end of the 1300s.
Although the great helmet offered far better protection than previous
helmets, the helmet had poor view; it was very heavy while it also
was quick to overheat. Knights usually had the great helmet over a
chainmail coif and sometimes with a skullcap.
