Information

Leaf-shaped Cavalry Spear

Leaf-shaped spearheads have been used throughout the ages both as infantry and cavalry spears. They were evenly used on foot or horse.
The 1100's development of stirrups and backrests in the saddles also develops the use of cavalry spears. From being used over the head or for light stabbing, the knights could transport the power of the running horse directly to the tip of the spear, when using the spear under the armpit.
